pleased to announce: 1) The Posies will play “Frosting On The Beater” in its’ entirety on 4/17/10 @ The Crocodile in Seattle, WA 2) A handful of hours after said Crocodile show, freshly rocked Posies will leave Seattle for the south of Spain to begin recording a new album for release in 2010, and 3) The Posies will also play all new material for said new album @ The Crocodile on 4/17/10 as well. JON PLAYS WITH PAVEMENT’S SPIRAL STAIRS OPENING FOR BOB MOULD

Jon has a short run playing as part of Spiral Stairs’ band in support of his upcoming Matador release “The Real Feel”, which Jon also mixed and helped produce. Live he will recreate many of the sonic bits on the record.

The dates in question are with one of The Posies’ all-time faves, Bob Mould. As part of the tour, Jon will also be playing the Treasure Island Music Festival in San Francisco along with Grizzly Bear, Yo La Tengo, The Decemberists, and The Flaming Lips.

US Tour Takes Shape; Press Round-Up

The Posies’ 28 September show at Maxwell’s in New Jersey is on sale at Ticketweb now, and their 8 September show at the Knitting Factory in California (with Matt Harris’ band Oranger opening) goes on sale tonight. Click here to visit Ticketweb. In addition, they will be playing Bumbershoot in Seattle during labor day weekend (September 2-5). Tickets are on sale now, and the full line-up will be announced this Friday.
