On August 19th, Omnivore records will reissue the Posies’ first album ‘Failure.’ This new release will have the original 12 song playlist on the cassette – when released on vinyl, one song was removed. On August 21st, the Posies will be playing Raleigh, NC as part of Oak City 7. Admission to the show is free.
The Posies “Amazing Disgrace” lineup will be playing the Vertigo Festival in Martos (Jaen), Spain, held from August 1-2. More info (in Spanish) here.
Ken Stringfellow was interviewed by Sydney Unleashed ahead of his Australian tour next month, and had news regarding the first 4 Posies records:
For news, we will see over the next year the re-issue of the Posies first four albums with expanded content, quite a bit never before heard and that’s *after* we released a 4-CD box set of outtakes in 2000. We found even *more* stuff. Plus the albums will get remastered, pressed on vinyl, etc.
If you follow Ken’s blog, you already know that he and Jon Auer are recording new Posies songs.

The Posies will be playing “Frosting on the Beater” with the original line-up (Jon Auer, Ken Stringfellow, Dave Fox, and Mike Musburger) as part of the Moe 20 Neumos 10th Anniversary Shows on January 10th in Seattle.
