Jon Heads To Japan For Solo Tour

After much speculation, Mr. Auer finally makes his way to Japan, due in no small part to the efforts Mr. Tadd Igarashi. Here are the dates:

6.30 @ Super Deluxe, Tokyo, Japan
7.2 @ Thumbs Up, Yokohama, Japan
7.3 @ 7th Floor, Tokyo, Japan
7.4 @ Club Wonder, Osaka, Japan

Also, Songs from the Year of Our Demise will receive a deluxe Japanese release complete with six extra Japan only bonus tracks on the Moor Works Label, available mid July.

The extra tracks are:

“Instrumental from the Year of Our Demise”
“One Way Street” (band version)
“Twice Tried Advice”
“The Sun Also Sets”
“Dead Summer” (demo)
“I’d Light a Candle” (demo)

The Posies in Japan

The Posies will be playing 2 dates in Japan this summer with Shonen Knife.

07.08 – TOKYO @ Club Quattro
07.09 – OSAKA @ Club Quattro

Tickets go on sale April 22nd.

They will also be at Jazzbones in Tacoma WA on April 21st, and The Bouquet in Boise ID on April 22nd. Also added to the tour page is Jon Auer’s record release show for April 27th in Seattle @ the Sunset Tavern, and a show the next day in Portland.

Soft Commands released in Japan

The Japanese edition of ‘Soft Commands’, featuring the two bonus tracks from the European release and two more bonus tracks, is available on Cd Japan (thanks to Carsten via kenstringfellow.com!) for $23.

The bonus tracks are covers of the Association’s ‘Never My Love’, Neil Young’s ‘Down to the Wire’, R.E.M.’s ‘New Test Leper’, and Stevie Wonder’s ‘Knocks Me Off My Feet’.
