Ken Stringfellow To Open for Wilco in Europe, Perform “Touched” In NYC

Ken Stringfellow announced that he will be opening for Wilco for several dates of their European spring tour.

June 12-13 in Brussels, Belgium @ Ancienne Belgique
June 15-16 in Amsterdam, Netherlands
June 18 in Lille, France
June 19 in Rouen, France
June 20 in La Rochelle, France

Tickets are on sale for these shows now, with the exception of the Amsterdam dates which have sold out.

On September 21, Ken will be performing ‘Touched’ (and more!) in a very special performance in New York City, 18 years after releasing the album on 9/11/2001 and becoming the first musical artist to play below Houston Street, the first week after 9/11. This will be the first time ‘Touched’ is performed in its entirety, and the show will feature special guests TBA. Tickets are on sale now, visit the Tour page for information.

The Posies Announce 2016 Autumn Tour Dates in Europe

After a triumphant run of dates across Europe in March & April the newly revitalised trio-format band head back to Europe in October, following a 27-date run of secret shows in the US.

The band have always been exploring, growing and 2016 sees them continuing in that vein. None of US shows were in conventional music venues, with the location only revealed to ticket holders not more than 24 hours in advance of each show. The band are now touring as a trio, with no bass player, and Solid States collaborator Frankie Siragusa on drums. New album Solid States was not recorded in the usual band-in-a-room manner. Stringfellow and Auer sent song ideas back and forth online, writing and largely recording the album separately – but collaboratively – in their home studios.

The autumn tour starts in Manchester on 27th October, ending on 9th November in Diksmuide, Belgium. Solid States is out now Lojinx CD, digital and heavyweight vinyl LP.

On October 31st, the Posies will be headlining the Pray for Snow party, held at Mission Ridge in Wenatchee WA. Tickets are available now for $10.

The Posies will play the Lignano Rock Festival in Lignano, Italy on August 12th. Tickets are on sale now here.

US Tour Takes Shape; Press Round-Up

The Posies’ 28 September show at Maxwell’s in New Jersey is on sale at Ticketweb now, and their 8 September show at the Knitting Factory in California (with Matt Harris’ band Oranger opening) goes on sale tonight. Click here to visit Ticketweb. In addition, they will be playing Bumbershoot in Seattle during labor day weekend (September 2-5). Tickets are on sale now, and the full line-up will be announced this Friday.
